Slide on over...for celebrity me!

So the new hotness these days seems to be figuring out who our celebrity look-alikes are. The guys kindly made some space on the bandwagon and so I decided to hop on. Here's what happened on my first attempt...I filtered out the females and picked out the people that I recognized except for the first guy, I kept him since he was the highest match:

At first I didn't think I looked anything like Frodo, but then I figured that's probably what I would look like if Jim were to fart in my face.

For fun I thought I would try it again. This is what I got:

I didn't edit the list this time...these were the top matches for me. What was alarming was the number of female celebrities that came up as a match. The next 5 top matches were all females:

Emmanuelle Beart 62%
Shiri Appleby 61%
Maggie Cheung 61%
Benita Ferrero-Waldner 61%
Mario Sharapova 60%

Not that i'm unsure of my masculinity but if somebody out on the street does a double-take as they pass me, i'll wonder if they thought I was Mario Sharapova or Benita Ferrero-Waldner. On second thought, if they thought I looked like either then I should probably just keep on walking.

Kudos to Jason for getting the fun of celebrity look-alikes going!

In case you haven't heard it in a while...

Or you never heard it at all. 80's are making a comeback, and there's nothing you can do to stop it!

I'm jumping on the bus

Inspired by Lindsays collaging skills, I decided to send a picture of myself to the myheritage.com website to see my celebrity lookalike is. So, when Darcy looks burnt-out, the results are such...

Vancouver pictures, the last I promise.

As you already know from my previous post, we went to the Vancouver Aquarium. We saw a Beluga show and a Shark show given by Sheena's friend Adrian (?). She was a very nice girl, who also took us backstage to see the "shark penthouse". Dear Shark Penthouse, I saw a Shark today with the biggest gills...

After spending 3 hours in the Vancouver Aquarium, my coolest picture is the Salmon chair from the kids play area. If I had a set of these it would make the coolest dinette set ever!

Little Known fact. Sheena's favourite movie of all time is Bubble Boy 2: The Underwater Adventure.

I ride the traditional Chinese giant barrel at the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Garden. Watch me do a barrel roll!

What trip is complete without a picture of yourself with Ricky Bobby? None. Shortly after this, there was nothing left to do in Vancouver, so we hopped a train to Seattle.

Vancouver portion of the trip.

Recently Sheena and I went on a trip to Vancouver and Seattle. We told people it was to see the Bumbershoot music festival (more on that later) but it was really to see the Seahawks football team play (lots more on that later). Here are some of the pictures from the Vancouver portion of the trip.

This was the first time either of us had seen these bears around Vancouver. So of course, in full tourist mode, we stop for some pictures. Here Sheena is tickling the bears chin, a la Goldilocks. He seems like sucha friendly bear here doesn't he?
Not so fast though! He quickly spots me with the camera and goes off Hugh Grant style and starts kicking my ass. Turns out these bears are all over downtown Vancouver. They are some kind of gang or something.
Mother fuckin Danger Bay man. That's all I could say here. Awww inspiring.
Sheena likes ponies, so of course we had to stop and boost her up on the horse here. The old lady was just for shits and giggles.

Welcome Bert, our new baby.

Darcy and Sheena would like to present Bert, our new baby. We interviewed a couple of different cats through NASAP, an animal protection agency. Some were too quiet, too scared, shed too much for my taste, or attacked Sheena's nose. After becoming a little bummed out that we weren't going to find a match for us, we met up with Bert. He's a very active little fellow, but very friendly. And yes he was named Bert when we got him. Not relation to Dilbert, my brother Darryl's cat. I'm hoping to take Bert to Grande Prairie with us one of these trips so the cats can play.

He only looks like he's ready to attack you. It's all a ruse, I assure you. Now just come move one step closer...

Bert doing his stairs workout. If only I was as dedicated.

He's a great help around the house.

This video is Bert helping clean around the house. Sheena has finished a cup of chocolate milk, and Bert is cleaning out the glass. More of Bert to come, I assure you.

This is where Jim's computer is.

How can we deny Bert his looking post?
